Rowhill Facilitates 2013 Getenergy London

Getenergy 2013 – Islington, London

Getenergy 2013 was a two day global summit for energy sector training professionals and service providers.  Rowhill Consulting Group provided facilitation support for a number of sessions.   Round table discussions and speaker engagements stimulated problem solving with powerful results. For Rowhill, the event was an opportunity to facilitate a diverse set of ideas from leaders in National Oil Companies, government agencies, and service providers.

For 10 years, Getenergy has created the world’s largest forum for addressing energy industry training & education issues.  Throughout the two day event attendees attended three to four concurrent sessions with frequent intermissions for industry leaders to share views.

The learning sessions hosted engaging discussions, where participants and facilitators shared experiences and lessons learned in a casual atmosphere. Rowhill advisors Jim Sheegog and Ken Graham facilitated many of these sessions.  Session topics covered a broad range of topics, from “Aligning corporate education to the changing business plan” and “Developing technical problem solving skills across generations”.

In a session regarding development of new talent in the Kuwaiti Oil industry, a Kuwaiti national in the audience gave their point of view on development in the region to a panel of experts. As they spoke, industry leaders from Korea, Nigeria, and Texas all gave their thoughts and ideas for addressing long term talent development needs. Moments like this made these sessions engaging with deep value.

Rowhill  would like to thank Phil Andrews, Getenergy’s CEO and the GetEnergy team for their flawless execution of the 9th Education and Training event. We look forward to the 2014 Getenergy event taking place from June 3rd – 4th.
